 The relatively few souls that braved the threatening weather had a great time riding trains!  Here's the front end of the northern, No. 4409.  A lazy Sunday afternoon back by the carbarn.  Denver & Rio Grande Western caboose No. 0500.  Pacific Coast Railway steeple cab pulls a full load.   |
 Engineer's view from BCWRR's new Southern Pacific X-1.  1.0hp (one human-power).  View from the "cab" of the 1.0hp speeder.  Two red cabooses out and about today.  On display at the steaming bays. With weather threatening, firing up a steam loco would have certainly caused heavy rains.   When days are quiet, there's usually a lot of conversation around the turntable. |
