County Seeks Comments on Cornville Road Issues | The Independent Green

CORNVILLE – How would you like Cornville Road to be improved?

The public is invited to participate in a survey regarding issues they face on Cornville Road and other regional transportation corridors. Yavapai County Public Works is investigating Cornville Road, generally from State Route 89A to Solair Drive. Staff are already in the preliminary stages of a design concept for a roundabout at the Cornville Road interchange at Tissaw Road.

Key elements:

• Construction of a multi-lane roundabout at Cornville Road/Tissaw Road.

• Addition of a connection to the planned developments north of Cornville Road.

• Installation of new curbs and gutters within the boundaries of the project.

• Changes to utilities and drainage.

The deadline for commenting on the study is November 20.

The Earl also plans to improve Pioneer Parkway, Williamson Valley Road and Iron Springs Road.

“The purpose of these planning and design projects is to develop a comprehensive long-term plan to manage the corridors and determine what, if anything, can be done to improve the corridors based on needs, public input and agencies and financial feasibility,” county spokesman David McAtee said.
