FRSC partner of SERVICOM on road safety – SoundiataPost


The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says it has strengthened its collaboration with Service Compact (SERVICOM) to create a better road safety culture in the country.

Corps Marshal, FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi said this while inaugurating an outreach program to spread FRSC National Traffic Radio (NTR) on Friday in Abuja. Oyeyemi said that SERVICOM has focused on service delivery, adding that it has reached the level of advocacy, education and enlightenment dissemination by FRSC. According to him, the aim of SERVICOM is to ensure that FRSC’s service delivery in improving road safety culture and management reaches the grassroots. Traffic, 107.1FM, promoting traffic safety culture to the public to encourage people to comply with traffic rules and regulations. “It is an ongoing exercise which will be extended to other parts of Abuja. SERVICOM believes that we should be able to communicate better with the public through the NTR. “And that will be promoted to raise the level of awareness, hence the beginning of this enduring partnership,” he said. Oyeyemi said the Corps will cover every part of Abuja, adding that it will extend its service to other areas such as Gwagwalada, Abaji, Suleja, Masaka Karu, Nyanya and Zuba. He said Abuja should be a model in road safety management administration. When people drive, they should imbibe the ideals of road safety and drive properly. “Fasten your seatbelt, don’t take a direction and drive efficiently. And it is only SERVICOM that can help in this regard due to their level of service delivery. Ms. Nnenna Akajemeli, Executive Director of SERVICOM, said the strong message was to promote and continue to enlighten all stakeholders. the need to work in strong synergy and collaboration with the FRSC management and also in close partnership with the media. She said that SERVICOM had raised awareness among all groups and citizens of Nigeria, and the main thing was to keep accidents and errors to a minimum.
