By Rick Archer (April 15, 2022, 6:26 p.m. EDT) – A bankrupt New York modeling agency asks a bankruptcy judge to dismiss a model’s request to resume his wage and hour lawsuit against the agency, arguing that claims can be dealt with more quickly in bankruptcy court.
In a motion filed Thursday, Major Model Management asked the court to dismiss Jasmine Burgess’s request to lift a Chapter 11 stay and allow her lawsuit to continue in the Southern District of New York, saying her claims should instead be dealt with in bankruptcy court. alongside the claims of other creditors of the agency.
